Flat Östermalm

Location: Östermalm, Stockholm, Sweden

Completion: August 2002

Brief: To develop a new design for a complete flat renovation including new services

Starting point: The flat, located on the second floor of a building from 1882, had a confusing central corridor layout, and it had unattractive finishes apart from the herringbone patterned wooden floor of the two large reception rooms, but it had great room heights and a wonderful location facing two parks at its southern and northern side

The new layout included a minimalist corridor hiding a large volume of built-in storage, two shower rooms, a wine storage, two bedrooms, living, dining and kitchen. The entire flat was totally renovated however, the original features of the two large reception rooms were kept.
