Terrainhouse is a series of architect-designed wooden houses originally conceived for the Swedish mountains. Houses that gently climb the slopes and minimise the need for brutal interventions in the sensitive alpine terrain. Environment-friendly houses, not just in their design, but in every sense. A Terrainhouse works with its environment, not against it.

but blend in. There are five versions of Terrainhouse available, to suit different directions, orientations, topographies and gradients as well as road access. All with the same high architectonic quality, providing houses that respect the natural beauty of our mountain regions and taking the sun, wind and views seriously. Naturally, there is also a Terrainhouse for flat sites.
A new way to buy architecture
Terrainhouse is thought to offer you a house designed by architects – a package of complete with detailed drawings– which you then order from a local builder of your choice. Having every feature itemised in this way means that you can obtain a total cost estimate before building begins. Terrainhouse gives you that special experience of a unique, site-specific house designed by an architect, at a more affordable price, and with more control over expenditure.
